Anton Lezhja is the Chair of International Institute of Business Valuers as well as a member of Education Committee of iiBV. He is currently a Director in the Financial Advisory Department in Deloitte Central Europe, responsible for the valuation and modelling of the business service lines. He acts as the Regional Valuation Professional Practice Director in Deloitte responsible for education.

Anton’s industry experience covers many different industries. Most of the projects he worked on are in the Energy sector (Generation, Transmission and Distribution), Transport (road, air and sea), Manufacturing, Real Estate, as well as Financial sector (both banks and insurance companies). He is a facilitator of iiBV training courses in business valuation as well as real estate training facilitator.

Anton is member of Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), an Accredited Senior Appraiser from the American Society of Appraisers (ASA) for business and machinery & equipment valuation, and a member of the Albanian Real Estate Appraisers Society, while he holds a Corporate Finance certificate from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).

Vusani is a Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA), Chartered Management Accountant (FCMA, CGMA) as well as an ICAEW-Chartered Accountant (ACA). He also holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Financial Management Sciences from the University of Pretoria, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree (Finance) from the University of Manchester, UK as well as a Master of Science (MSc) in Finance degree from the University of Leicester, UK.

Vusani is an established academic as well as an experienced business leader with over 20 years’ experience in corporate reporting, financial management and business valuations. He is currently an Associate Professor of Finance at University of Venda where he is also the Head of Subject: Financial Management. He lectures both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Corporate Finance, Investments and Portfolio Management, Management Accounting and Research Methodology. Vusani also supervises Masters and Doctoral research students in corporate finance and accounting and has published research articles in both national and international journals. He has also lectured corporate finance courses and supervised students at the University of South Africa and the University of Roehampton (UK).

Vusani also serves on the Accreditation Committee (ACCOM) and Competency Framework Task Force (CFT) the South African Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors (IRBA). The ACCOM accredits professional bodies that seek to train registered auditors (RAs)in South Africa and the CFT develops the IRBA’s Competency Framework for the IRBA’s academic programme for trainee RAs. Vusani is also the part-time director of Axiom Valuations Solutions SA (Pty) Ltd.

Chris is currently the Senior Managing Director and Shareholder of Valuation Research Corporation and has held senior positions in State Street Bank and Trust Company, Valuation Counsellors Inc. KPMG LLP, Tofias P.C. (now CBIZ), Delphi Valuation Advisors Inc. and Valuation. He has over 30 years’ experience in business valuation and has completed over 3 500 engagements relating to the valuation of closely held businesses, pass-through entities, professional practices, is the and intangible assets.
He is a Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor (CM &AA), Accredited Business Appraisal Reviewer (ABAR), International Certified Valuation Specialist (ICVS), Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), Master Certified Business Appraiser (MCBA) as we as an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA). He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Relations and Economics from McGill University and a Master of Business Administration (Finance) from Babson College.
Chris has co-authored a 480-paged, 22 Chapter book (Valuation for M &A: Building and measuring Private Company Value, 3rd Ed. Published by Wiley and Sons Inc. in 2018), developed a Course for the valuation of intangibles for the American Society of Appraisers and has published over 46 articles in business valuation.

Jeffrey S. Tarbell, ASA, CFA

Mr. Tarbell is a Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Financial and Valuation Advisory business. He has more than three decades of experience providing valuations, financial opinions, and expert witness testimony regarding private and publicly traded companies. Mr. Tarbell is Head of the firm’s Estate and Gift Tax Valuation practice, Co-Head of the firm’s Employee Stock Ownership Plan Valuation practice, and a member of the firm’s Technical Standards Committee.

Mr. Tarbell is an Accredited Senior Appraiser, certified in business valuation, of the ASA, a member of its Board of Governors, and a past chair of its Business Valuation Committee. He holds the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst of the CFA Institute. He is an instructor for the ASA as well as the International Institute of Business Valuers (iiBV). He is registered with FINRA (formerly the NASD) as a General Securities Representative (Series 7 and 63) and a Limited Representative – Investment Banking (Series 79). He is also a member of the Portland Society of Financial Analysts and an associate member of the American Bar Association.

Mr. Tarbell has testified in various legal forums, including state and federal courts, the United States Tax Court, a congressional hearing, a Department of Labor panel, as well as in arbitration, mediation, and deposition proceedings. He also frequently serves as a consultant to attorneys during the litigation and dispute resolution processes.

John J. Barton, ASA, CPA

John is the President of Brandywine Valuation Consultants, LLC. He is responsible for the analysis and valuation of closely held entities and intangible assets. He also provides expert witness testimony in litigation matters involving business valuation and forensic accounting. John holds an MBA from LaSalle University as well as an M.A. from Fordham University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant and a senior member of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA).

John is a past Chairman of the ASA’s Business Valuation Committee and served as Chair of the ASA’s Education Committee where he was in charge of course content and development for the ASA’s business valuation educational program. He is also a past Chairman of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ Business Valuation Committee.

He has over 30 years’ experience in valuation education and has developed and taught valuation courses for a number of professional bodies that includes ASA, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), CPA Australia and the iiBV.

John is a former adjunct instructor of Finance at Villanova University’s MBA Program. Over the past twenty years he has also taught business valuation courses throughout the United States, Europe and the Middle East for the ASA, iiBV, RICS, and the Big 4 accounting firms. Between 2016 and the current time, John has taught extensively in Saudi Arabia for the Saudi Education Ministry (Taqeem) and in Serbia for NAVS.

Since 1987, John has been involved in the valuation of over 800 business entities, ranging in size from sole proprietorships to multinational corporations. He has provided valuation and litigation support services across a wide spectrum of manufacturing, retail, technology and service industries. John has been qualified as an expert valuation witness in courts in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Florida as well as in U.S. Federal District Court. In addition to litigation support, he has been involved in valuations for the purposes of financial reporting, sale, restructuring, goodwill impairment, and estate planning.

Zvonimir Petrovic, MSc (Economics) ASA MRICS CEIV

Zvonimir leads a regional valuation and business planning practice at BDO in Belgrade, Serbia, Montenegro/Bosnia, covering several ex-Yugoslavia republics. He has extensive experience providing clients with equity and asset valuations, capital budgeting and investment advisory, impairment testing and purchase price allocations, contract damages and lost profits, fairness opinions, etc. Main responsibilities include top level project management, quality assurance and business development. In recent years, the practice has expanded and now includes outsourcing services related to valuation engagements, valuation reviews and audit support, due diligence and transaction support, etc.

His broader financial advisory experience also includes feasibility studies, financial restructuring and prepackaged reorganization (in bankruptcy). Zvonimir played a key role in numerous valuation and corporate finance projects in Serbia and the region in the past 14 years. Parallel with office work, Zvonimir regularly teaches business valuation to international audience. In 2020 he was appointed global education coordinator for business valuation in BDO network.

Zvonimir is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA), Registered Valuer (MRICS), Licensed Real Estate Appraiser in Serbia and a Certified Business Valuer. He holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Nis.
